School Chess Supervisor/Instructor
The same examination as the arbiters, managed by SACAA.
Level E Instructor (Entry level)
Able to train players up to 1200 rating. Examination to attain a certificate for this. (3 hours)
Level 1 Instructor
Able to train players up to 1500 rating
Examination to attain a certificate for this (3 hours)
Level 2 Instructor
Able to train players up to 1750 rating
Examination to attain a certificate for this (3 hours)
Level 3 Instructor
Able to train players up to 2000 rating – the instructor must have a rating of at least 2000 and extensive practical experience as a coach. No formal examination will be set by SACTA for Level 3. CHESSA/SACTA will award the suitable candidate with such a certificate if applied for and if the required reports and documents are submitted.
Cost of Examinations
R80 per candidate per examination
Booking and paying for examinations must be done one month before the due date.
